Our Apiary
Kept by hand on the headwaters of the Aucilla
Wayne Bellamy has spent his whole life in Florida, and his bees live at the top of the Aucilla River, where the water first rises out of the ground and the swamp and pine flatwoods still bloom the way they always have.
That ground is what you taste. Our bees work gallberry, palmetto, tupelo and wildflower depending on the season, so no two harvests are quite the same — the color runs lighter in spring and darker toward fall. We don't blend that away.

Nothing taken out
Pollen, propolis and natural enzymes stay in. Commercial honey is usually heated and micro-filtered until they are gone.
You know the field
One apiary, one river. You can point to the spot on a map where your jar came from.
It will crystallize
That is a good sign, not a flaw. Set the jar in warm water and it goes right back to liquid.
Good for the bees
We leave the hives enough honey to winter on. We only sell the surplus they don't need.

Shipping & questions
How much is shipping?
A flat $7.50, no matter how many bottles you order. The 16 oz and 32 oz plastic bottles ship anywhere in the U.S. The glass Pint and Quart jars are local pickup only — they're heavy enough, and fragile enough, that we'd rather hand them to you directly than trust them to a truck.
Can I pick up instead?
Yes, and there is no charge for it. Choose Local pickup at checkout and we'll email you to arrange a time and a spot. We meet for pickups in Monticello and Tallahassee — and pickup is the only option for the Pint and Quart glass jars.
How long does an order take?
Orders go out within two to three business days. We ship U.S. Postal Service, so most of the Southeast arrives in another two or three days.
Is it safe for infants?
No. Like all honey, raw or not, it should never be given to children under one year old because of the risk of infant botulism. Everyone older is fine.
